This Community will be comprised of Members who are into Human Powered Recumbent bikes and trikes who have opted to add a battery powered motor for assistance.
This is NOT a Group for people who have given up on using their cranks. The exception being physically challenged riders for whom 
motor assist is the primary drive system.
It is about e-motors, drive systems and battery chemistries that assist us on our Recumbent bikes and trikes, and about being a Resource for those just starting out and for the more seasoned bent cyclist.
The whole idea is to have an e-motor system that enhances the quality of the ride, extends our range, levels out the big honking hills we have to climb, and provides us with more speed so we are less likely to become the hood ornament of a SUV.
At this time there will not be a Moderator and I hope we never need one. I believe we can use self control and not end up embarrassing our species by resorting to name calling, slander, swearing and threats. Play nice is the rule here.
People requesting Membership need to specify the make/model of Recumbent they have or hope to acquire. This is NOT a Group for DF riders or those into using fossil fuel burning engines. The exception will be people who employ a gasoline fuelled ac/dc generator to charge their batteries on the road.
Velomobile owners and those with "Pusher Trailers" are welcome to join as well.
The Resource component will include a Photo Gallery of what other Members have done/tried.
Members are free to post photos but I ask that you get permission from the owner of the photos if they are not your own.
